  • Many classic solid‑surface and acrylic solutions sit in the 4–6 kg CO₂ per kg of material range.
  • GelCeramic Lightweight® achieves about 1.39 kg CO₂ per kg, roughly 46% lower than a representative “average ceramic product” at 2.57 kg CO₂/kg.
  • On a volume basis, GelCeramic Lightweight emits around 1.50 kg CO₂ per litre, versus an average ~5.9 kg CO₂ per litre for competing mineral‑cast stones – about 3.9× lower CO₂ per litre.

It kills about 95% of bacteria within two hours and 99.9% within 24 hours, tested to ISO 22196:2011.
