Eumar Design @ CSI Miami 2025: From Mermaids to Micro-Bathrooms

On June 3–4, the Miami Beach Convention Center became the epicenter of cruise design. For Eumar Design, CSIE 2025 was the stage to demonstrate how Estonian innovation is shaping cruise bathrooms that are lighter, smarter, and more sustainable.

Together with the Estonian Marine and Manufacturing Initiative (EMI), our stand became a hub of conversation, creativity, and a touch of magic.

The Highlights: Innovation in Action

  • The Pebble Collection: The winner of the Red Dot Design Award drew attention as the world’s smallest fully functional bathroom. Crafted in GelCeramic Lightweight®, it proved that compact design can still offer maximum luxury.

  • The Swing-Tub: A viral moment! We suspended a real bathtub from ropes—starring Merle Liivand, an Estonian living in Miami and Guinness World Record-holding mermaid, who made the display look absolutely stunning. We even took the fun mobile during Happy Hour, riding the bathtub through the entire exhibition floor! It was the ultimate proof that cutting 50% of conventional mass doesn’t mean sacrificing strength.

  • The Portal Washbasin: With its illuminated circular mirror and sculptural basin, Portal showed how to turn a quick fresh-up into a premium design statement.

Real ROI for Operators

Behind every product stood Eumar’s patented Lightweight® composite. The message to shipbuilders was clear: you can save weight, reduce fuel consumption, and lower maintenance costs without ever compromising the guest experience.

Thank You, Miami!

We were proud to showcase Estonia’s maritime excellence and reinforce that “Made in Estonia” stands for trust and smart design.

From a swing-tub that proved strength in style, to Pebble’s compact efficiency, to Portal’s sculptural impact, our stand at CSIE Miami 2025 demonstrated a clear message:

Cruise bathrooms can be lighter, smarter, more hygienic, and more sustainable – without ever compromising on guest experience.

We thank everyone who visited Booth 721, brainstormed with us, and shared our passion for design. For shipbuilders, designers, and operators ready to future-proof their interiors: let’s talk about solutions that save tons of weight, cut costs, and delight guests for years to come.

Our products not only create moments of surprise and delight, they empower people all around the globe to enrich their lives and the lives of others.
