cruise ship interiors award 2021

Eumar Design’s team had an honor to attend the The Cruise Ship Interiors Awards, supported by marine lighting supplier and global headline sponsor Kalmar. The awards show took place at Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe’s last day on December 2.  We have written more about Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe on our blog!

The 2021 Awards celebrated the incredible people who make up the cruise and design community. a fantastic opportunity for interior designers, architects, outfitters, shipyards and fit-out suppliers to be recognized by industry leaders and form amazing partnerships around the world.

Categories honoured individuals, teams and companies that inspired others, innovated and went above and beyond what was expected of them. Definitely one of the top events the entire industry waits for all year!

This was the second time we had taken home an award from the event. We had previously won in the Best Bathroom Interior category in 2020. You can read more about it here.

a true dream came true

We can say that 2021 has been a smashing sucess! Eumar Design proudly returned to Estonia with the “Sustainability Award”!  An award created to celebrate those companies who are doing everything they can to make our industry more sustainable with their products and services.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED US , VOTED FOR US AND BELIEVED IN US! We will always be overjoyed at this amazing achievement!

an award-winning GelCeramic Lightweight® technology

“Weight equals money!” – this is a pearl of ancient shipbuilding wisdom. Because for every 1000 kg of weight, another liter of petrol is needed, which is consumed and pollutes the environment, plus the floating characteristics are negatively affected.

Take a look at how much weight we were able to save on Carnival Cruise Line‘s newest and largest cruise ship, the Mardi Gras, built at Meyer Turku. All the weight was saved by using GelCeramic Lightweight® technology, a stone composite material specially developed by Eumar Design that weighs less than any other bathroom fixture material on the market!

In our quest to create a more sustainable environment and a greener future, we cannot ignore the qualities of our materials. Our products are made of durable and recyclable interlocking stone – a technologically advanced material made from natural minerals and modified polyester resin. It mimics the appearance of granite, marble, stone and other naturally occurring materials and is suitable for casting into various shapes and sizes.
