Project where we are adding stars: Arter Kvartal

The completion of Arter Kvartal Tower A in mid-2025 marked a significant addition to the Tallinn skyline. At 111 meters across 28 storeys, the tower now serves as the consolidated headquarters for nearly 2,000 Swedbank employees, establishing it as a key landmark in the city’s evolving business district

This project was defined not only by its height but by a strict mandate for sustainability, high performance, and long-term asset protection.

The Operational Challenge of Scale

Designing for a population of 2,000 daily users presents complex logistical challenges, particularly in high-traffic common areas. For a building committed to achieving high sustainability standards, the interior specification had to address several critical requirements:

  1. Durability: Materials needed to withstand years of intense use without requiring frequent replacement.

  2. Hygiene: Surfaces required non-porous and seamless construction to ensure easy cleaning and high hygiene compliance.

  3. Efficiency: The materials needed to contribute to an efficient installation timeline and reduce overall structural load, critical factors for high-rise construction.

Maintaining Hygiene and Asset Value

The selection prioritized monolithic, joint-free construction for superior hygiene performance. In high-traffic public areas, eliminating seams drastically simplifies cleaning protocols and enhances bacterial resistance.

Crucially, the material supports on-site repairability. This factor is key to asset management, allowing maintenance teams to polish and restore surfaces locally to address wear, thereby eliminating the need for costly unit replacements and extending the product lifecycle indefinitely. This characteristic directly contributes to the building owner’s commitment to LEED-level sustainability and preservation of long-term asset value

We at Eumar are proud to be a part of Arter Kvartal, contributing our expertise to the luxurious and sustainable design, and continuing our legacy of excellence in commercial design!
