Bespoke design has been an essential part of the essence of Eumar from the start. We love creating hero pieces designed for specific spaces – the more creative the vision or challenging the brief, the better!

And we all have to agree that a 470-room Clarion Draken Hotel does indeed look creative and impressive. It gave us a chance to deliver something incredible, with a mission to add stars to this amazing project!

The exciting journey of Gothenburg’s most promising recent hotel projects, Clarion Hotel Draken Gothenburg, began in 2019 and the hotel will open in the second quarter of 2022.

Clarion Hotel Draken Gothenburg will take over an existing building as well as add a new building, which together will bring 470 additional hotel rooms to the city. In addition, the complex will include spacious meeting, conference and event spaces, as well as numerous F&B facilities, including a stunning restaurant and sky bar on the top two floors on the 34th and 35th floors.

The project is spearheaded by Nordic Hotels. The hotel is being developed as part of a new neighbourhood. The name Draken (Dragon) is derived from the independent movie theatre located in the complex to which this building will be connected.

The new area will provide 1,300 new private homes and jobs for about 6,000 workers, as well as entertainment and cultural venues, attracting both locals and visitors to this burgeoning area of the city.
