Projects where we are adding stars: Carnival Mardi Gras

the mardi gras - an exceptional project

If there’s something we love the most then it is working with like-minded and ambitious partners from all around the world!

When Carnival Cruises launched their first ship in 1972, the TSS Mardi Gras, they had a clear vision – to make cruise ships less stuffy, more fun, and exciting. They wanted to give guests more entertainment options, more distinct areas, and an experience that would deliver lifelong memories.

Now they are paying homage to the original by building the ultimate cruise ship – the Mardi Gras.
Introducing the groundbreaking idea of zones – six themed areas packed with brand-new experiences for eating, drinking, and having fun – the Mardi Gras is a new concept in ocean-based fun.

The Carnival Mardi Gras is an XL-Class ship that accommodates over 5,200 passengers, so this project was quite a challenge, but one we gladly accepted. It is also the largest ship in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet and the first one to use liquid natural gas (LNG) for fuel.

eumar design is partnering up with the carnival cruise line

In 2019 we made a great deal and partnered with Carnival Cruise Line to implement the complete vanity unit across their entire new cruise vessel Mardi Gras was built in Meyer Turku for  Carnival Cruise Line.

“We are honoured to partner Carnival Cruises and Meyer Turku and enjoyed providing this outstanding vessel with comprehensive bathroom solution.  Eumar Design aims to offer the best bathroom environment to help in creating a memorable experience for Mardi Gras’ guest on board,” explained Arkadi Berman, CEO of Eumar Design.

The ship also features the world’s first rollercoaster at sea – The Bolt. This is the kind of innovation and visionary thinking that Eumar can really get behind.
We are delighted to be part of this spectacular project.

our approach to design
